A Six Bar Link Kinematic Analysis for a Semi Active Hand Orthosis

The peripheral nerve injury is yet a debate among the specialists, where the patient must adapt to live without full range hand mobility, the majority of the active hand orthosis are either oversized or too voluminous to be used in daily life, with this objective, based in an anthropometric study of the Mexican hand, a six link mechanism was scaled to obtain three sizes: small, medium and, large. In this article a static and kinematic analysis of the resized mechanisms is presented.
